The Right Place - A Cheerful Message

Hi Silas:

I am always a little amazed at when people relate that, as the result of a Dr. visit, they have mild sensory what-have-you, slight denervation, elevated brisk reflexes and the like. What does all that of that mean? It just means that as a normal human being you are not exactly like someone else, or the machines best approximation of someone else. The paramaters that physically define us as humans is so varied that unless we present with something significant, then pieces of information like: a little bit, slight, elevated, etc mean absolutely nothing. In fact, I would say that any neuro who uses these terms knows little of the human condition and far too much about his paycheck.

Also, why are you worried about separating sx? Symptoms of what? You are not ill, so these questions are entirely academic ones. If we start playing the what is this sx game then we drive ourselves to utter distraction, and then despair. I have done this, it is like wondering why one day is warmer than next. It just is, that is the way of things.

If you want to deal in percentages I will give you some stats:
Stat 1: you are 100% human
Stat 2: you are blessed to be alive
Stat 3: being alive, means you are of incredible value
Stat 4: if you jump for joy, then you have understood the nature of the universe.

Cheers,
Basso
