The Power of Strength in Difficult Times

I saw a quote today that I thought was appropriate to share with all of you."You never know how strong you are, until being strong is the only choice you have." -Bob MarleyIf there is one cause and effect relationship that pretty much everyone on this forum can agree on it is the correlation of fear, stress, and worry to the severity of their symptoms. The people that have found the greatest relief in their symptoms have figured out ways to manage their fear, stress, and worry more effectively than they ever used to. It takes strength and courage to manage to do this though. That's why I wanted to share this inspiring quote. BFS sort of backs you into a corner where you almost have no choice than to change your ways otherwise you feel like you are going to lose your mind. I just want to say 'hang in there' to those of you in the midst of finding your way through this transformation. It does get better and it will. Thanks for reading.

And to those who are just starting out - my personal experience with BFS was that it kicked in very quickly (on a dime almost!) ... got worse and worse for a period of time ... and then began to fade. If you are still in the period where its getting worse and worse - it may be true that no amount of stress avoidance will reduce your symptoms .... just yet. So hang in there, because I believe that day will come. Inflammatory triggers like stress will however *always* make it worse. So don't lose heart if you *arent* stressing, and things are still bad. It takes time but this disorder seems to fade with time. Always worse in the beginning.

I agree very much with the sentiment but not sure how good an example Bob Marley is when it comes to medical matters (given the events surrounding his death)!
