The Effects of Shopping on Twitches

Hi all, as many of you know I've been twitching for 7 months, but my twitches have improved by at least 80% in recent weeks. I have hashimotos autoimmune thyroid problems and so far my doc has attributed the twitches to that. Here is what happened today. I felt really good...no twitching at all...so I went shopping. I am carrying some throw rugs and accent pillows as well as my fairly large purse all around Kohl's for maybe 45 minutes to an hour. No problem. Drive home and carry all my packages in and start putting my new things in my bathroom and bedroom. I'm taking the old rugs out and putting new ones down and changing towels, plus doing a little cleaning in between. I stop to admire my work and my upper arm starts twitching....thumpers...maybe 5 or 6 of them in a row. My son even saw them, and my twitches are usually not visible. WTH? No buzzing today or leg twitches, but these thumpers in my upper right arm. I have to say this freaked me out. Has this happened to any of you guys? I need some reassurance fast, please...Linda

Hi Linda!Yes, I do have these type twitches quite often. Same as you I was lifting some stuff out of the car yesterday and I had a quick session of these big thumping twitches in my left arm. These are quite common. Linda, my wonderful, reassuring neuro told me a couple of weeks ago that after 7 months of twitching I would be having some very serious problems by now and I am fine!Warm regardsSandra

Thanks Sandra, I haven't seen a neuro because my GP tells me I am fine. What symptoms did your neuro say we would have at 7 months? I have been so calm about these twitches lately, but these big thumpers threw me for a loop today. I hate this condition...and no wonder we are anxious. Who wouldn't be? lol.Linda

Hi Linda! My neuro said that I would have REAL issues with walking, holding onto objects etc! Please try and focus on the positive, thats what I have been doing and yes I am getting there! It is a BENIGN condition!Lovely to chat to youSandra

Sandra, thanks again. I have no "real" issues with walking or doing things. In fact , last weekend we went out with neighbors and went dancing for 3 hours. I am thankful for that. Sometimes my mind just runs wild. Thanks for being here. Hope I can do the same for you sometime.Linda
