effexor...and antidepressents like paxil zoloft..ect are pushed on to many people by doctors...because they get kick back...and alot of people are taking it and screwing up your normal chemistry when they dont really need to take it... from expierence i went through the whole effexor, celextra, paxil, zoloft crap...made me feel like crap..stick with the klonopin it in itself should rid you of anxiety and you dont have to feel like crap.. sedation is much better therapy...:)

Thanks for the responses. To 12Drifter12....I take the klonopin at night but it makes me too tired during the day especially since I'm not sleeping well at night so thats why I'm trying the effexor (which I took once before going thru a bad period) but this seems to be worse than then. I think alot of this that I'm going thru is depression so I'm desperate to try anything. I have not even been out of the house today because I'm so exhausted even though I slept 6 hours last night.....Hopefully this week will bring on some changes....I Think my mind is so consumed with all this that its exhausting me. I cant concentrate on anything else unless I have some wine which I have in my hand right now
Thanks again
Alli

Hi Alli, I took Lexapro for awhile and it worked great, I had to do something to survive!! I had lost 15 lbs, couldn't eat, couldn't sleep. Don't worry about how long you may twitch. I started with just my left eye last June, by September it had quit. Then in February I started twitching all over, my left foot twitched non stop for several days. I freaked all over again. Then it let up. So, with my experience it does get a little better. Keep your chin up!!

To Kimlpn.....
Is Lexapro an anti depressant? I went on the effexor because I had taken it before but so far its not helping with the anxiety. Does the Lexapro help with this? I'm going back to the doctor in several weeks and I want to be armed with some possible meds to switch to....I've also heard that the new Cymbalta is a good one...it will all depend on which ones my insurance will cover....such a pain.
