Thanks alot guys for your posts.

My fiance is pregnant and so i dont want to take the emg because when it shows abnormalities that will lead to more stresses etc. At the moment i can live with the comfort of knowing i should get a year or so of mobility even if i do have this horrible disease.

It seems every time i have had a test it comes up abnormal so im going to leave it. Abnormal ECG, lump found in gastroscopy etc etc).

Thanks for all your support, you guys are great.

My doctor always told me that if you keep looking for things, they'll find things because the human body is imperfect in many ways and still functions fine. I have a gigiantic bone cyst in my right heel that they never would have known about if I hadn't had an MRI done on that leg for a completely unrelated reason. It never hurts or anything but they still follow it up every two years because, well, that's protocol apparently. That was the issue with people getting those full body scans a while back and finding all this stuff that then needed to be "followed up"...but the fact is, they've been living with all those things just fine.

The longer you have BFS, the better you'll feel without an EMG. I'm going into my 6th month with it now and don't have nearly as much concern. I find that working out helps me a lot because I know that gains in strength and endurance wouldn't be possible if I was dealing with a serious disease. Plus, it's good for you too so why not ;)
