Thought you guys would like this.Yesterday I had to go in to the dentist to get a crown and a filling put in. And when they were giving me the novocaine, the hygienist and dentist were amazed at how hard it was to get my teeth numb. Whereas with most people it takes one or two shots, with me it literally took about ten shots per tooth. And even then the numbness would start to go away after about fifteen minutes. The hygienist said she had never seen numbness wear off that fast in a patient. Even when they switched to a much stronger numbing agent, it would still wear off in a couple of minutes. The dentist finally concluded that I was the hardest to numb patient he had ever seen. After I finally got my two fillings put in (which took an hour and a half, plus a syringe and a half full of numbing agent - he actually had to refill it partway through), the hygienist asked if my teeth had always been that sensitive. So I told her about BFS, and how I have hyperactive nerves, etc. I even pulled up my pant leg to show her my calves twitching around like crazy. She said she had never heard of BFS, but she wouldn't be surprised if it was the reason my teeth were so hard to numb. My nerves were literally finding ways around the blocking agents that they were injecting into my mouth. No matter what they were doing to numb me, my mouth wasn't about to be quieted or put to sleep. From now on, the dentist said he would always allow me an extra thirty minutes in my appointments because "your teeth are weird." I was wondering if anyone else finds their teeth hard to numb these days.I love you, BFS.
