Taking REMERON & BUSPAR?

I had my follow up today with my Dr, she says I definitely need to get my anxiety under control, so she prescribed me REMERON and BUSPAR! have any of you taken either of these medications? Im a constant worry wart so naturally I'm scared to take the medicine for fear of crazy side effects! Please let me know if any of you have any experience with either of these medications! Thank you all for your time!
 
i've taken both of these meds. remeron worked great for me, mainly because it is very sedating and helped me sleep when I just couldn't. be careful though, the first week of remeron can almost be unbearable due to drowsiness but in the long run it will help you. buspar was a very short term drug for me, but I don't remember having any issues with it. your doc is absolutely correct, you have to get your anxiety under control. take care,gary
 
How was the BUSPAR prescribed for you, mine says take 2 to 3 times daily as needed!? What does it make you feel like and how about side effects? I'm always worried about starting new meds... don't want any crazy side effects!! Is the BUSPAR like xanax in a way?
 
My Dr. also prescribed me Remeron. I have severe anxiety which may or may not contribute to my "all over" twitching. I was on a 15mg dose. Within 30 minutes of taking it, I was ready for bed. I felt completely lethargic and "out of it" for 20 hours. I actually had to call in sick yesterday because of it. Needless to say, no more Remeron for me. Remeron reminded me a lot of Benedryl (which also lays me out).
