Swollen Lymph Node Under Chin?

Hey folks,Lately I've been getting something weird going on right under the chin area (where the lymph node would be)It tends to feel tight when i look up (never had that before) and since I am super skinny, the lymph node there seems to stick out quite abit.not sure if it's swollen, I had a doctor look at it and feel it, she said it was swollen a little then but she said nothing to be worried about (and that was in September and It still looks the same). It also feels a little tingly with movements, off and on, and just a weird inner feeling. Some days, when I wake up in the morning, I wake up with a awful cramp on the side of the throat right by the ear where you would feel the back of your tongue if you pushed in on it (always the left side though, which is funny) and it hurts to move my tongue in that back area for a few seconds till i straighten out the cramp. Looking down and touching my chin to my chest feels weird also, a weird tingle. Just curious if anyone has ever felt this, maybe its part of my array of symptoms, should i be concerned (i know the lymph nodes are there, i don't feel a cyst or anything, but could it be possible?) and any input on how to help it or any info would be appreciated! Also forgot to add, I get weird feelings in my mouth, not exactly pains, sometimes soreness and weird feelings on the floor of the mouth under the tongue and my tongue always feels kinda sore and tired ( i know weird!)Thanks!!Carmen

Carmen, Don't worry about these pains and cramps in the side of your throat they are ususally caused by your eustachian tubes which run from your ear to down your throat to drain them. I have had these pains often and the eustacian tube is innervated by the vagus nerve which runs right through your throat and by your tongue as well. When I get these pains I often check to see if my nose is plugged even a little bit because then I know it is coming from these tubes. You don't have bulbar als. The first signs if bulbar area weak voice not cramping in your chin throat or tongue. My Dr said he would know bulbar the minute I walked in by my voice. You Don't have bulbar though so by all means you can have your lymph nodes checked but I doubt there is anything wrong with them either if they have not changed at all. I am skinny too and can feel all my lymph nodes quite prominently so don't worry you are bfs normal and going to be just fine.Mary
