My symptoms started 2001, please comment. after extreme stress!!!!!!!!and anxiety!!!!!!!!!!!!

burning sensations in skin in patches on back, stomach, legs
followed by a severe sore throat; then>
cold patchy feelings on skin, then twitches all over started in calves then spread.
followed by
numbness on legs (sensory) as only skin involved again in patches,
followed by buzzy feelings in muscles, legs mainly but also all over in places.
feelings of weakness in legs and arms, my left side feeling different to my right side.
i have actually twitched everywhere, even my private parts, plus i have felt as if someone has been sticking a pin in me all over my body but mainly my legs.
the more i worry the worse this all gets, however most of my symptoms resolve on their own, but my anylitical brain tells me that my symptoms must have an uderlying cause:
your comments please :D) :) :( :crying:

Hi, welcome to the board!

It sure sounds like bfs. Have you been to a doctor? We obviously can't give you a diagnosis, we can only tell you our own experiences. I've had all of your symptoms at one time or another. Fun, huh?

I rarely have symptoms anymore, though.

Yes, your condition is real, and scary, but it is very highly probable that you have a benign process such as bfs. To have been experiencing this since 2001, there is no chance that it is **S, since **S is a rapidly progressive disease.

Anxiety and bfs are not a good combination, because anxiety will only severely exacerbate your bfs symptoms.

Once you get a grip on the fear, chances are, your twitching, burning, tingling, numbness, perceived weakness, etc. will all become much less bothersome.

Blessings and prayers heading your way...

Be in peace.

Hello, i dont mean to be rude to the people on this board. But EVERYTHING sounds like BFS to them. If your bleeding out your eyes they will say "sure sounds like BFS to me"??? That said, your symptoms sound like possible MS to me.

Well "guest," if you didn't mean to be rude to the people on this board, why don't you identify yourself instead of posting as an anon?

What exactly are your medical credentials that give you the chutzpah to troll around here and claim that you know the difference between ms and bfs symptoms?

This is a board where people come for relief from their health anxiety, not to be told they have something degenerative and incurable.

As I said, I've had the same symptoms and have been worked up for ms three times, by two of the best ms specialists in the country and I have BFS, end of story.

This is not to say (and you will notice that I did advise this,) that mr worry shouldn't see a qualified physician to get a thorough work up.

Yeesh! If you weren't trying to be rude, why is my Irish up?
