Struggling with Tongue Movement

Sorry--I'm in a funk and slipping a bit. I've read that you should be able to move your tongue fast from side to side, (I've never had a neuro ask me to do this). I can't move it that fast (I saw a video of a neuro exam and the guy did it really fast). I can move it from side to side, but not that fast and not for that long before it becomes a bit uncordinated. Anyone else have this problem? Thanks, Denise

Don't worry. After I move mine awhile, it gets a bit sloppy too. I asked my mom to compare before too and she can only move hers a couple times back and forth and she said mine moves way faster. My neuro had me do it and it was just a couple times, not nearly as much as I test myself with sometimes. Also, be careful with testing it too much. It can cause more tongue twitching and weird tongue sensations. I wonder if my tongue got so much worse because I self tested it so much.
