Struggling to Let Go of Worries

No you wouldn't.

I am realizing how lucky I was when I read your post....I had a good friend who I asked these silly questions of. Never mind that she is an accountant and not a DR., when I asked her do you think I would be able to do this (jump, bend, lift extremely heavy objects if I had ALS?)...she always said NO, of course not. I appreciate so much her patience and help. Most of all I appreciate that she is still my friend. I must have been one trying individual.

Tony, you will heal from this worry if you let yourself believe what the Dr.'s and everyone else knows....YOU ARE FINE!, you will. Then you will help other people here, by telling them honestly that you WERE one of the most worried posters, and that you are now fine!!

Tony didn't you just write this?????? That is pretty definitive, no?

Tony Wrote:
Hey Guys,

I went to my GP on Friday and we talked about my hand and the whole atrophy thing. He looked at my hand and said it is not atrophy. It is just scary that I keep seeing different things.

I wasn't kidding about the gloves either Tony (and I don't mean like Michael Jackson gloves...). Maybe like a thin leather driving glove. You really need to do something to stop you from looking at your hands because it has become an obsession. It's kind of like someone who bites their nails putting on that bitter tasting stuff...only this way you are forcing yourself not to see your hands- I think it would be a good thing for a few days. Providing you don't live in Florida or somewhere warm in which case your neighbors might think you are a little strange....
