Stress, Post-Viral, Autoimmunity Symptoms

Ive read alot of post about how stress causes or amplifys symptoms. Also, post viral seems to be common. Auto-immune system out of whack comes into play occasionally. Whatever the reason your symptoms start or continue is still up in the air to me. Its like 10 different people in 10 different cities plot a course to a common destination. It doesnt matter where you started out, bottom line is we all end up in the same place. Some of us arrive in a worse neighborhood than others. Me personally, I made a wrong turn and ended up in the projects.Medically speaking, Drs have found (5) things that are wrong with me. They are, in the order of discovery, as follows:Lower back problem: I have a mild case of spinabifida. Lower vertebrate will slip out of place which causes a pinching of the nerves. Dibetes type 2: Discovered 2 1/2 years ago. Weight loss and diet modification has has allowed me to stop taking meds about 2 months ago. Twitching 1st started about 10 months agoCarpal tunnel: Discovered about 5 months ago, both arms, right arm a little worse according to the test, even though left elbow and wrist are the ones that hurt.Bloodwork abnormal: My ANA titers were 1:320 about 5 months ago then increased to 1:640 about 1 month ago. Sed rate has incresed slightly over the past few months from 16 to 18. Periphreal Neuropathy: Discovered about 4 months ago. Dr. says it is a mild case. No typical symptoms experienced such as numbness and tingling in hands and feet. Gall Bladder: About a month ago I had a hida-a-scan that showed my Gall Bladder was operating at 27% with the low end acceptable at 35%. Normal is around 60 to 65%. It has been recommended I have it removed. Bad gall bladder can cause abdominal pain and back pain, which I had both.I have experienced every twitch, thump, quiver known to man except in the toungue. They have progressed over the past few months. I am still functional even though I am not the same man I use to be. If I do certain physical activities, the group of muscles used will start quivering pretty bad. They will also get a bubbling feeling, especially in the arms. Quite often, my whole body will twitch and spasm so bad I feel like a volcano is about to erupt. I sometimes think this is caused by diet. Toes, feet and fingers twitch and ratchet like crazy alot of the times. It seems like my feet are trying to correct themselves from the muscles in my calves tightening up. Fingers on my left hand are basically 24/7. I think thats for sure caused by the carpal tunnel. The last bout of pain I had in my torso prompted the dr. to have a full cardio workup and a colonoscopy and EGD. All came back o.k. The latest thing to kick in had been a horrible ringing in the ears. This is been happening for about 3 to 4 weeks now. Sometimes get a fuzzy feeling, almost a dizztiness. Of course I start thinking about a brain tumor. So, what is causing all my symptoms? It could be a single thing not yet discovered or a combination of things that have. All I know is it seems to progressively getting worse. As I have said in the past, I have no fear of ALS anymore, thank God, But I have not leveled out like most on this board have. For those of you who have, consider yourself lucky. It would be much easier to deal with if I knew exactly what my hand consisted of. I keep getting dealt new cards occasionally and the cards suck. Wish I could request a new deck....

Thats is the issue with being a newby...the cards are always changing..and not too many aces at the minute! That is why newbys get stressed- symptoms generally increase and change quite dramatically for the first few months, so we enter the land of 'whats next!'cheersRodger
