Stress and Anxiety: A Common Human Experience?

As I grow older, I seriously have to ask myself this question...

Does any human being NOT have a lot of stress and anxiety ?
I just find myself realizing that it's a tough world out there.

I'm overstating things, but I wonder.

edit: how funny, ristinaL91's signature above has a "proverb" that is exactly what I just said. Weird.

I still remember the day my eye began to twitch. I was on holiday, 20,000 km away from home. I went into an internet cafe and read an email saying that my roommates were all moving out. I was the only one on the lease, with 2 more months left before returning home!

Well that set it right off, and it took one week for my eye to stop twitching. Once that settled I was fine until I came home, had to move house, my eye started twitching again and I had daily access to the internet where I could "research" about my weird symptoms.

What can I say... all went down hill from there...

So yes, I think anxiety definitely makes it worse and I have always been an anxious person. I remember waiting for my father to come back from a business trip when I was a child, and if he was late I'd be thinking that the plane went down. Always the worst case scenario!

And my partner will tell you the best what sort of a control freak I am. I definitely like to be in charge, take care of the bills, I'm the main "bread winner" and I just worry worry worry all the time.

At least my symptoms are now minimal and I am hoping that one day I will wake up and be symptom free... or not...
