Strange Twitching After Dancing?

This is very strange since I seem to twitch at the slightest movement or even if on feet for about 4 hours.

I went out dancing Saturday, friend got engaged so we all went out. I danced all night, now remind you that even if I go shopping I will twitch the next day bad. The next day I did not have twitches and is going on 4 days now. I have been taking 800mg of folic acid from the natural food store that is made of veggies. I have also been taking nasal spray for sinuses, which were really bad before the twitches, since I have been using this I have noticed alot of yukkies that ..well forgive me for being blunt but look like they have been there for awhile and green. My ears are better also. I am eating more fiber also. I now this sounds crazy but this is just not like me, I hope it keeps up. I am not saying I stopped completely but like 90% better. It almost feels like those little twitches that you can barely feel now..I hope this is a good thing and not a bad thing..lol..Well anyway I just wanted to share that..Has anyone else found this with folic acid? Boni:

I am currently taking Flonase (spelling) and have found it to help a lot but not eliminate my problems.

One of my issues is that I used Otrivin (spelling) for six months straight. - not a good idea (I know now)

Anything you've had success with to clear nasel problems?

I am new to the board and thought I would post my experience with BFS and sleep apnea. I went to my doctor 2 months ago with complaints of twitching in every conceivable muscle group. After getting the classic reassurance speech ("It's not ALS"), he asked me if I snore when I sleep. Well, my husband uses the term 'purring' but I had to admit to doing the 's-word' at night. Two sleep studies later, it was determined that I have a mild case of obstructive sleep apnea (I stopped breathing about 17 times an hour; no wonder my muscles were in fatigue mode all the time). I was prescribed a CPAP machine which I have used faithfully for the last ten days. I can honestly say that the twitching has reduced significantly. My sleep is still slightly interrupted due to issues with getting used to the mask, but I expect that to resolve shortly. I would urge anyone who experiences classic sleep apnea symptoms (snoring, constant tiredness, falling asleep inappopriately, such as at work or while driving, among others) to raise this issue with their primary care provider. Don't put the tiredness down to 'getting older' as I did.

Also, be wary of searching sites like WebMD for a diagnosis for your twitching....all you will get is doom and gloom. Benign fasciculation syndrome is not even in there!

No not yet, but today I was by my ear, nose and throat specialist.
His diagnosis is, that my nasal septum is absolutly bent.
His request is an operation at first.

Funny you had a reduction of twitches while taking folic acid - I did too! I started a prenatal in January - with 800 mcg - and after several days, it seemed as if my twitch frequency was cut in half. They were still there mind you, but SO MUCH BETTER. I mentioned it to my GP, and she didn't think much of it, but maybe there's something to it!

I am still taking folic acid but have not been taking it faithfully so I cannot tell you how it is working I am going to start tomorrow and I will let you know. I was thinking though that it might of made my internal tremors worse but the folic acid I take also has B12 in it...Jenn

Great! I appreciate your prompt reply and feedback, Jenn, and I will look forward to your update.

In the meantime, can you describe the difference (as you experience it) between "internal" and "external" tremors?

I'm curious because I've had a hard time trying to figure out how to describe how this feels on the "inside"....
