Strange Lack of Periods and Twitching

Have any of you had problems with that time of the month since your bfs? I had my monthly thing in March and maybe a half a day in April if that and nothing since and the twitching started in March also. I am 42 and I have had tests done on my thyroid and fsh and all normal and a blood test to see if I will have another period and normal so I don't no what to think. Maybe just a fluke thing all started at the same time the twitching and no monthly thing. Could really use some input. Thank you so much Pam

I definatley stated having problems at the same time bfs and then they told me I was in menopause at the same time and pretty suddenly too I might add the doctor had no idea if it was related and as I was doing some other things (like exercising) I don't know what triggered what it is all very confusing but you could be missing your period just from the stress of worring about all these symptoms.

I am 47 now this started when I was 45. I started getting irregular at the same time I first had twitching everything calmed down for a few months then started again at that time I stopped altogether (Sorry to the guys I know how much you must love these ladies threads) went to gyno about 5 months into my second bout of twitching said my fsh levels were indicitive of menopause and I was probabley finished it seemed awful quick and then I really started with night sweats and hot flashes figured it came with the territory I started feeling better in every way twitching way down almost nothing no more hot flashes pain and cramping in my legs letting up and then I got my period again (a year later ) but I am doing a lot better now I hope it stays this way but I know from reading these forums (I am so thankful to these people) it could easily start again. Oh well I am taking it one day at a time. I believe there is another thread going on this same subject started by the same person you should read them if you haven't

mml- your story is so interesting, when your hormones were back in check, your twitching went diminished. My change seemed very sudden also. I'm glad your ovaries have jumped back in to gear. Lets switch over to the other thread and continue to annoy all the men that have to read this but somehow this probably relates to them in some weird way too.

Pam,

I am 38 and also thought this could be hormone related. I asked my Gyn at my last appointment who totally dismissed my questions. I DO think that there is some sort of link. Having been through extensive fertility treatments previously and being pregnant with twins, made my hormones totally out of whack and that is also where my syncope episodes, pvcs, and anxieties began. Then the twitching started....

While I am still experiencing regular periods, they do seem to be lighter and shorter in duration. I have also had FSH checked but it came back normal.

Hang in there!
