Strange Forearm Sensations Experienced

Val,

I really understand what you are talking about! My left forearm has been haveing these extremely strange sensations for the past couple of weeks...it comes and goes. It is almost like the lightest, fluttering twitch, or a faint buzzing sensation on the top muscle of my forearm. Is that what you have as well?

Same boat here, Val -

Had been chugging right along in a really good place when my left outer palm started tightening/cramping/who knows what to call it...faint, regular, irritating...

And yes, concerning.

Turns out it is a spasm condition that is perfectly benign and completely unrelated to any other condition I think I could have or fear I have, etc.

Let's face it - BFS is a big ol collection of weird sensations that will drive us nuts if we do ANYTHING more than just laugh at them, and save worry and/or trips to the ER for truly debilitating things.

I am squarely in the "this too shall pass" camp now...

When in doubt put on the most inspiring piece of music you can think of and get shakin it. It works wonders in dispersing fear (now you know my secret), and burns off calories.

Val - I've only been twitching for 3 months, pretty much all over, but there's no doubt that my forearms (mostly the left) give me the strangest sensations. Can't say if its what you're describing, but they get periodically achey, numbness, tingling, and sometimes itchy. The numbness happens a lot when I wake up, and lasts a lot longer than 4 seconds. From everything I've read on this site, you sound totally NORMAL to me. With 2 years and a clean EMG, the rational thinking should prevail.

Cheers,
-Bill
