Still Alive and Well After One Year

Just wanted to say I am still alive and well. And you all will be too. I started this one year ago. For those interested you can search my original posts which include pretty much my whole neuro visit, EMG results intially and onset of symptoms. And all the fear we all experience. Since then I have had Brain MRI's, they saw something, at follow up I was given the nothing all clear, I had a very brief EMG after my 1st one. My EMG showed fasciculations and insertion activity and nothing else. As my neuro said, my muscles were very active on EMG. About two months ago I had the VGKC test always batted around here (negative by the way). My neruo is a highly train neuro muscular specialist. Long story I have had the tests and I got benign fasciculations which goes with all the other wierd sensations we discuss here. Today, I fasciculate just as much, some days better than others. There is no normal pattern. I have had everything dicussed here. But in the process I got back to life. I workout, I pretty much ignore the fascicualtions and just accept this is part of who I am. I take magnesium, CoQ10, fish oil, and multi vitamin. Does it help, who knows, I figure either way it won't hurt me. My advice, go to a good neuro and believe what they tell you. And try to move on. There is a lot of good information here and a lot of bad. If you spend all waking hours here, you are not moving on and accepting this. Go to a forum about gardening, cars, investing, whatever tickles your fancy. Dwelling on BFS is not the answer. On year ago I was sure I would be dead, I wasted a lot of last summer worrying, I do not intend to do the same again. The symptoms are real, the fear is real, but you must believe. This is our "normal", it's OK not to be perfect, perfect people are boring.
