Starting a Run: Weak Arm Sensation

Sometimes, when I began a long run, my arms feel like this (as if someone is pressing down on my shoulders and making them tired and weak).

It only happens when I begin exercising, and doesn't last.

Anyone?

I believe that as BFS is an actual nervous system condition, hence the weakness and excercise intolrance we experience is real, ableit benign and really not debilitating (hence no true loss of funtion). The anxiety caused by this weakness can exacerbate the situation, sometimes making the weakness feel worse than it may actually be. Unfortunately, I don't know of a remedy for this other than to try to not to focus on it. I can play baseball, excercise, and ride a bicycle, yet sometimes when I get up from a chair, it takes three steps before I feel steady. All I know for sure is that I can still do everything I could do before BFS, so I try my best not to worry about it.

My "perceived weakness" comes and goes. Sometimes exercising brings it on, sometimes it is just there, no trigger. I do know at times it must come from my lower back problems. Other times I think the humidity and heat plays a role. I was diagnosed many eons ago with fibromyalgia, have not been bothered to much by it over the years but during heat waves and high humidity it feels like I am dragging all my limbs around. Feel like I can't even get off the couch or lift an arm.

There are probably many different causes for us experiencing this but tough to narrow down.

Is it just me, or does anyone else find it amazing to hear that many people with BFS actually exercise? I feel like I can't even do a lot of the normal stuff that needs to get done, let alone things that purposely cause exertion. I have noodle legs, and it seems to get worse if I exert them at all (although I admittedly avoid exerting them much).

The other day I sat on the ground and leaned on one arm while I pulled a few tiny weeds in my front yard. I couldn't do it for long though because my arm got too shaky and weak. The next day the muscles in the shoulder area for that arm were actually a little sore. And all I did was lean on my arm for 15 minutes! This is really frustrating. I'm only 46, and had been in reasonably good shape before this all started a few months ago.
