Spider Bit Dreaming - Experiences?

Hi,I allready read some posts about that phenomenon... I wonder how many of you experience this and how often. And for the ones who have this symptom: Do you take any medication (SSRI, Mg., etc.)? One time (some months ago) I was dreaming that a spider bit me in my left hand; As I "woke up" I was standing in the middle of the room, shaking my arm like crazy... Never had any bad dream that intense ;)Also, my forearms (esp. left) feel weak, "warm", just strange in the morning (I know about carpal tunnel; was tested neagtive). This happens quite often.Right now it's 4 in the morning here. That s*** made me wake up again and scared me. It scares me for a special reason: I don't understand it. This means I don't understand it even though I have a relatively good knowledge of the medical and neurobiological things (by the way it was a bad idea to gain this knowledge). I understand the twitches and the pain, the "weakness" and fatigue, but not the sudden "falling asleep" ... Either the blood vessels are pinched (why?!) or the nerve conduction has a defect (why?!). Both does'nt make too much sense the way it shows...I'll try to get some sleep now. Hopefully it works.

Hey There-Did you have an NCV done recently? I found out I had almost complete nerve conduction block in my elbows (common but I might need an operation later). My hands were going to sleep at night and my thumbs were pulling into my palm. Both my neuros said even without conduction block waking up with your hands/arms numb is very common and nothing to worry about unless your hands and arms are doing it constantly during the day when you are not putting any pressure on them. Then they do the NCV and find out what nerve is pinched or blocked. I know it drives you crazy but I used to wrestle and if I sleep on that arm I wake up and COMPLETELY cannot move it, as I think I damaged something and never got it checked out. If it keeps up you can call the doctor that did the the test for Carpal Tunnel and see if they can give you a better explanation, but its all good! Nothing to worry about at all. Let us know what happens!

Hi Nic, my hands fall asleep constantly, but I believe that it has something to do with positioning. I tuck my handsin and under myself. When I move them the numbness goes away. So I don't really worry about itbest wishes Cornelia
