Smiling vs. Frowning: Muscle Count?

There is some old aphorism about how many muscles it takes to smile and how many more it takes to frown.

I'm not sure about the numbers above, but I've felt most of them twitch.

Especially my right nostril. How annoying!

count me in on the lip twitching. For a while there it was REALLY bad but is subsided. It still comes back every now and then, it's nothing to be concerned about :)

PHIL, I get these types of twitches off and on. I'm starting to think that my eye and lip area twitches occur when my anxiety level is high. I mentioned this to my neuro, (they never perform for him), and he said nothing to be concerned about, he gets them. Take care, Mike

Actually, I think all my twitching is a result (in part) to anxiety.
Anxiety-produced adrenaline to make your muscles do strange things.

I agree, anxiety can cause your body to go haywire as it has for me in the past. It's just that I'm over the anxiety thing for the most part now and these lip twitches also appear when I'm very relaxed.

It just goes to show there's really no rhyme or reason when it comes to BFS.
