Silent Twitches: Experiences?

Was curious if many here have twitches that they both see and feel and some twitches that they only see and can't feel?? I have been having maybe 100 - 200 twitcheS a day in my right calf the last week or so that I can feel but noticed when I was looking at my right leg that they were happening a lot more but I just couldn't feel them. Only can see them.Anyone else have the silent twitches too?

I just pm'd Alonzo about this a few days ago asking the same thing. I'm waiting on a reply, But both of my calves are like this, but it is a whole lot more on the right one. Mines been going 24/7 for 11 months now, 2 clean EMG's and no weakness. The BFS in a nutshell says you can have ones you see and not feel, so I'm taking comfort in that for now.

I just started noticing these "silent" twitches about a week or so ago, but I'm sure they have been happening a while. Very curious to hear from others about this. If you do here back from Aron, please fill me in. Thanks

I have id say at least 10,000 twitches on both my calves that I can see and not feel every day and have since last year. I cant stress enough how classicly benign this is.In fact this is no matter what you have read/heard or whatever...textbook bfs.If you want to go hunting in your local libray you will find that the authors MITSIKOSTAS 1998, REED 1968 and VAN DER HEIJDEN 1994 found constant observable fasciculations in the muscle of the lower legs (lowest 20 twitches per minute high of 140 per minute) in 1.6 per cent of totally healthy people(134 in surveyed) who had never complained of twitching or any other nuero problem...i.e they had no idea that they were twitching but clearly were...A LOT.In the archives of this site you can read a story related by BW2 about how his buddy was a constant calf twitcher 20+ years and had no idea until his wife told him...Don't like that story? Try this... search Simon W(a doctor with bfs) who noticed a decent percentage of his patients when being examined had noticeable fasics on the lower legs and when questioned had ZERO idea or else didnt care. Finally, i have these, Fanrxs has these, robbiebfs, Krackersones, edado, simon w and many many more. Its totally common and when your constant severe fasics are on your lower legs they are literally screaming BENIGN!!!! This is the problem with this website sometimes everybody gets so caught up with globus hystericus, clonus, tongue twitches, sensory symptoms, feeling weak and so on that the bona fide, medical textbook definition of bfs is buried for newbies. It annoys me. Constant severe calf/foottwitching is the most classic benign type of twitching outside of the eyelids. FACT.

Darr, do you get any sensory symptoms at all? I only ask because I do, and I'm starting to think mine is just anxiety from the BFS because the sensory stuff seem's to be getting few and far between, or better than it used to be at the begaining... I don't have clonus or globus hystericus, but I do get the weakness feelings, pins and needles, floor moving up and down, tremors, eye problems, and random other things like cold wet spots on my feet. All of which can be found on anxiety symptoms list's.

I started with the silent calf twitches about 3 months ago. I had no idea they were happening until I put my leg up on the coffee table one day and just noticed them. Totally freaked me out because they aren't like a normal muscle twitch. Mine were occurring all down my leg, just little dents that appeared... like 2-3 per second. But if this is happening to you, don't stress about it. Like most people who've experienced this, I also had a clear neuro exam and EMG. My twitches have also spread to just about every muscle in my body but my calves are constantly going.... 24/7. My neuro told me that he has them as well.
