Signs Pointing Away from ALS

Things that let me know I don't have ALS:

1) Ear drum twitches
2) Muscle pain
3) Rapid heartbeat at onset of illness
4)Excessive sweating at onset
5)Burning "pin *beep* " sensations
6)Myclonic jerks
7)Body-wide fasiculations
7) The almost complete elimination of the aforementioned symptoms
with one .5 klonopin.

Well I have been googling (it's incurable I am afraid) and discovered that the neurologist I am seeing next week has written a paper on CJD based on three case studies in the neighbouring county. I have of course just downloaded and read this paper, and it is not happy reading, at least I know what to look out for if it is CJD, but then I would never know as cognitive decline would have set in before that and prevented me.

The word fasciculation is not mentioned once in the paper, so I guess we are all in the clear :)
