:crying: I am having muscle spasms in my arms while in use. My tongue which has been twitching for over a month or so now has been begun to develope dents from my teeth. Also it feels thick, but is not swollen. My neck muscles are very tendor and I have fatigue all over even my abs. My leg will jump as well when it spasms in my calf while I am at the keyboard. My tongue feels numb from time to time, but mostly all of the time now. Please pray for me!Anne B.

I would not think you are too much different from the rest of us. I noticed my tongue twitching a year ago, and also a big dent on one side which lined up with my incisor. I can't say whether the dent is any bigger or not a year on in. I get fatigue in my muscles very bad, my calves particularly I am sure it is worse than most here. You will be alright :)

please do not think the worst, our imaginations can take us to terrible places. Good luck at your appointment, but I suspect you will be just fine.

Been there before. Your neurologist is probably not a neuromuscular specialist who is familiar with bfs and bcfs. My original neuro had the same reaction as yours when I developed all of the other symptoms after the twitching started.Swift_TaySwift20

Anne: I am so sorry to hear that you are feeling so badly. I can tell you from reading hundreds of posts there that what you are experiencing does not sound as far fetched as you may think. I also don't think what you are experiencing is unique amoung those of us who come here. Please, don't believe the worst right away. Remember statisically you are more than likely okay. I know your neuro will confirm this when you see him. Until then, believe the best-----God is with you.Praying,Cindy

I don't know what I'd do without the support of the people I have meet here. I pray that I can find a way to reduce my stress. My PCP is trying me on Cymbalta working me slowly from 15 mg to 30 mg up to 60 in a few weeks. He wants to see if it will help. Meanwhile, I will be seeing the neuro. spc. 4/30 and 5/1...I will keep you updated. Why does my PCP think a spinal tap would be good? He also mentioned a muscle biopsy. I thought that MD was found in childhood....

Anne: You PCP is probably just thinking of ways to rule out all possibilities. Don't get too upset about that, that's just how some of the mds are. Hope the cymbalta helps really soon. Keep the faith and think positively. BlessingsCindy
