i have a lot of sudden and severe cramplike nerve pain recently. they occur anywhere in the body mostly in the hands, arms, feet and legs.anyone has similar experience?

Yep. Sometimes even to the point of screaming it out.. they are just as random as the twitches.I guess its because of PNH - Peripheral nerve hyperexcitability. That means sensory neurons can be hyperactive aswell.. not just pins and needles or motor neurons which causes the muscle twitches.

I have the burning pain, mostly in the limbs - I have peripheral neuropathy but so far the reason for this is not known. My GP was very clear that pain points away from ALS and MS. So in a sense, this is good news, although it can be quite uncomfortable at times.

HI Lauren, I and a lot of us have pain in arm, legs and yes along nerves. I also have posted about it. I can understand, that you do not want to go back to the *** clinic, but then you never will find if or what cause of the twitches you have. If you fear there is something in the earth below your house/flat, why don´t you move to another house/flat. If you fear there is something in the air of your house/flat, e.g. formaldehyde or something else, why don´t you contact someone to measure this stuff? You are cleared from the sinister, because the doc from the clinic is very professional. If you believe him or not. But you should better change your attitude or check out the other stuff you fear (air-pollution in the flat, etc.). Before freaking out because you have a bad day, first check out the real stuff . I wonder, if you still can do your job? What is your family doing? Sorry, to ask this questions, as they are very intimately and I should not ask them, but maybe you also should start to think about the people who care about you and love you. You also have bad affect on their lives. And you are cleared from a professional guy at the ***-clinic. NEver forget that.

Lauren,It doesn't happen on a regular basis but I definitely getting shooting nerve type pains, usually in my legs, feet, hands and back. They can be quite painful and uncomfortable, but they have never led to anything sinister on my end, I can assure you. I also frequently get burning pains too, usually when I have had lack of sleep, am fighting off a virus, or for no reason at all sometimes. These usually occur in my hips and thighs, though they have occurred in my chest, arms and back before. I have described this to both my rhumetologist and my neurologist and neither seemed to be very concerned. If you are really worried give your doc a call and ask, but as long as they are short lived or not handicapping I would say it is likely just hyper-active bfs nerves :D) Megan

thanks guys, appreciate your comments.@race: i have tested the formaldehyde, house is below the dangours zone. i am currently measuring radon, but this takes time as you get the result only after months. if you knew how beautiful the place is where i life, you would understand why it is not so easy just to move away. yes i can still do the job. i am not always in the condition i was the last 2-3 days though i am not so successfull like before the bfs symptoms. i already calm down. as the physical flare ups i also have psychological ones sometimes.
