Seeking Hope in Life's Turbulence

i've had a dull pain above my eye for a year now. headache or something else unknown. multiple opthomologists have found nothing other than dry eye.

neuro unimpressed but said there is medicine that might help. recenlty similar above right eye.

i chalk it up to computer eye strain as i stare at one all day.

Well, thanks for making me feel like *beep*, TWITCHMEBABY!! ;)
Since you put it that way.... I'd have to say that I'd risk the return of the little boogers to bring hope. It's starting to sound like a WARPED Star Wars movie here!! hee hee

Boy, oh boy. Excuse me while I go eat a Bon-Bon! Maybe it'll make me feel better!

Let me know if the Bon Bon works, maybe it is waht we have been looking for in a miracle cure. I will try a sub from Jimmy Johns with extra mayo and see if that helps at lunchtime.

The chances of a complete remission are very rare. I'm not talking about the "I hardly notice them anymore" or "mine are much less now" but a complete and utterly resolved case. Having said that, I have been made aware that it is possible for all symptoms to vanish entirely. but it is a rare occurrence and no explanation can be offered as to why, therefore I wouldn't go holding your breath.

It's always been my view that this is a life long condition, at least for me it is and after 12 years I've not been proved wrong. Some might interpret this as negative thinking, but not as far as I'm concerned. I learnt early on to accept this as part of my life so therefore it warrants no thought on my part..

From what I read some people twitch for a couple weeks, some for a couple months, and some maybe for life. I am sure alot of the people that don't come on the boards anymore do so because their problem went away.

My neuro said the same (about it passing in a few months) but I don't feel any let up as yet and have a feeling this may go on forever!

(Which is why I will be so angry if I discover this was a drug induced reaction that they (the medical profession) won't admit too.)

If it does go on and on and on - at least it will go on for all of us all over the world and I take comfort in that. I have too. But I still hope one day I will wake up and it'll have gone. Have faith! Think positive!

Kirsten :)
