I don't know it what area to put this question, so I'll do it here. Is anyone here from Seattle or Indianapolis (S. Indiana)? I am asking because I have had a hard time dealing with my fasciculation problem, and I thought it might help me to meet some fellow "victims." I'm from Seattle, but I will be moving to Indiana soon to attend IU. Secondary question: Does anybody recommend a good neurologist in Seattle or Indianapolis or even Chicago area who would know about BFS!!! I am too afraid to go to a general neuro because it sounds like some of them don't even really know about this problem and might scare me into some untrue assumptions. I would like to see a neuro who at least has shown themselves to be opened to BFS as a real entity. And finally, has anybody here had CONSTANT fasciculations in a forearm? Here's why im scared. I have had constant ones in calves for 3.5 years, hardly ever stops. but it was bilateral. now i have them just like that...constant, although i can only see them, not really feel them, in my left forearm...also my thumb is driving me nuts. in fact that's what cause my most recent freak-out. i know i shouldn't but after 3 shots of vodka i feel a bit better
My dad is a doctor (one of those unaware of BFS) and told me that he has seen patients who were ACTUALLY diagnosed with terrible diseases who were less anxious than I am about a microscopic possibility (im 25 (today) and have had fascics for 3.5 years, and clean EMG and neuro exam...and MRI/MRA )Thanks!!
