Seeking Advice for Unexplained Symptoms

Hi all.About a month ago I had an onset of a bunch of symptoms that sound like BFS to me, but of course I'm still worried about my health, and I wanted to get your opinion on my symptoms, since you guys are experienced. :)It all started about a week before Christmas when I was feeling lightheaded, dizzy, having headaches, and shaky. I couldn't go see the doctor right away since we had planned a week long trip over the holidays. Upon returning I was still feeling bad, so I went to the doctor and he told me I had a sinus infection. I was given azithromycin to get rid of it. It's been several weeks since I've been off of the antibiotics, and since then I have developed a myriad of symptoms that all sound to me like BFS. (And of course I've been through the health anxiety, thinking I have a horrible life-threatening illness thing, and I'm still not sure that I don't, even though I keep trying to reassure myself.)My symptoms are:- pins and needles in my hands and feet when I first wake up in the morning, which quickly go away.- fatigue- muscle twitches all over my body (of course), especially when I'm sitting or laying down. I first noticed this symptom the day I returned from my trip. The muscle on the back of my right thigh was twitching like crazy, and the only thing I could do to get it to stop was to keep it contracted while sitting. Since then I've had them in many places, although they mostly occur on my legs. I counted three so far while writing this.- tingling sensations - I've gotten these in many places- tremors - The last couple of days my hands have been shaking a lot. It's not really noticeable just looking at them, but when I hold something I can see it shake. I notice my head shaking sometimes too. I also occasionally get "internal tremors" that feel like I'm shaking on the inside.- I hadn't had any numbness until yesterday. I was sitting in a normal position, and suddenly I noticed the back of my right thigh had gone completely numb. No pins and needles- just a dead numbness. This lasted for about 40 or 50 seconds and then normal feeling returned.- I also sometimes have hot and cold-feeling spots.Physically, these symptoms are just annoying, but they've turned me into an emotional wreck. I'm constantly worrying about my health these days. I'm not really concerned about ALS since I'm really much too young for it to be likely at all. (even though my arms feel somewhat weak right now..gah!) I do have a history of panic attacks, although I've never had symptoms like these before.I haven't been to the doctor since my sinus infection- mainly because I can't convince my parents that there's anything wrong with me!Thanks for taking the time to read this- it turned out longer than I had planned.

Sounds just like BFS to me. Why don't you fake an ear infection and then when you're in the doctor's office tell him your symptoms :D) Just don't tell anyone I told you to do that, but all parents will take their children to the doctor when their ears hurt. To them, you probably already seem to have hearing issues anyway  Seriously, though, it does sound exactly like BFS, but with that range of symptoms you probably need to see a doctor just to rule out some things like thyroid issues, vitamin deficiencies, etc. You'll be fine,Paul :D)

Hi again. An update from me. I wanted to go see my GP, but my mother was (and still is) under the impression that my symptoms are caused by anxiety/panic disorder, so she took me to my psychiatrist, who I had been to once before for panic attacks. He thought that my symptoms were part of panic disorder as well. (muscle twitches, tingling, tremors, numbness— which would make sense since I also had been having heart palpitations, irregular heart beat, and shortness of breath for a while, which are also panic disorder symptoms), and so he prescribed me 1 mg time-released Xanax tablets (the kind that last all day). I had before been taking another type of medication for panic disorder before, but only on an as-needed basis. So, hoping that they would relieve my problems I've been taking them. At first, I noticed that I was having almost no muscle twitches at all, which was great. For a while I was having only one or two a day, and I was feeling pretty good. However that only lasted about a week and now I've begun to get twitches a bit more frequently again. Sadly, that's not the worst of my problems at all.I'm getting fatigue, joint aches (and pinkish blotches on my finger joints...?), muscle soreness, tinnitus, a wide variety of headaches including tender spots on my head and neck tension, buzzing, hot/cold feelings, and a general feeling of unwellness. :( The Xanax really does help curb my anxiety, and I'm glad to be taking it but I still can't shake the feeling that something is really wrong with me.Is anyone else having these problems?

Your symptoms sound exactly like mine. I have been twitching for a year as of today, and I am pretty sure I am fine. I am going again to a doctor for a checkup though.
