Seeking Advice for Twitching/Pain

I could really use some advice. In addition to the twitching, localized fatigue, etc., which I've had since Dec 2006, I've had some ongoing pain in my fingers. Since Sep 2006, the left pinky and ring finger have had consistent, ongoing dull pain that will occassionally worsen with activity. The preliminary diagnosis of those symptoms was an ulnar nerve problem, and it was diagnosed through nerve conduction and EMG tests.

I since have developed pain and swelling in my left pointer finger. I have also had noticable swelling and pain for awhile in the middle finger of my right hand. (It is so swollen that anyone that even looks at the hand casually can immediately see it.) Now the right ring finger is starting to throb and visibly swell.

It is starting to get so I can only garden or golf if I take 3-4 Aleve 1-2 hours before activity?

Does anyone have any thoughts on what this could be? Has anyone experienced anything similar? I really appreciate any thoughts on what might be going in. The ulnar nerve thing I understand. But the swollen fingers on the right hand really has me worried.

Thanks very much.

I never had pain in my hands (and feet) until my BFS symptoms intensified the last few months. My hands and my joints hurt periodically. I posted that I thought I was getting arthritis, but then was reminded it is also a symptom of BFS. Your swelling does sound something like arthritis since my husband has the same problem. Mostly, I just have the pain that comes and goes. Have you noticed your symptoms correspond with the weather at all? Ibuprophen usually helps. That's been my experience anyways. I live very close to Philly by the way! It's supposed to rain this weekend, so your pain and swelling may get a little worse, but I hope not.
Take care,
