Scheduling Appointment for BFS Tests

I am going to schedule an appointment for a physical soon and was wondering what tests to ask for in trying to find a possible cause for this. I know there are many theories as to what can cause BFS but a lot of people here are convinced it is one and not the other. I for one think my symptoms were brought on by the antibiotic Levaquin which fried my central nervous system over time. Anyway, many here think possible low vitamin D or auto-immune disease, etc. What are some tests to request other than your generic blood panel test ?

HI thereI wrote a reply but it seems to have got lost in cyberspace! Your doctor will guide you depending on your own particular situation but you may expect to have blood taken for things like magnesium, potassium, sodium, calcium, B12, folate, thyroid function and vitamin D. I don't know whather auto-antiboy tests would be valuable. Other tests, such as EMG, NCS and MRI, are performed in some people but not others, depending on the clinical situation and preference of the doc concerned. The most important thing is the symptoms you tell the doctor about and what is found during the neurological examination. The tests themslves are somewhat supplementary.RegardsSimon
