Scar-related Abdominal Cramping?

Back in 2000 I had a bowel resection due to crohns disease. I don't get any cramping with my BFS really but I have noticed the odd time I do get cramping around where my incision was. I have a rather large abdominal scar from my right side to just past my belly button so it spans about 12 inches. Is it possible that the damaged abdominal muscle could freak out like that from time to time? I notice it cramps when I stretch or strain it somehow, or move a certain way.

Hey-For about the past year I have had really bad cramps in my abs, if I bend a certain way they completely cause me to double over and scream in pain. Normally I dont have that problem as I have broken bones and popped my shoulder out and kept working. But these ab cramps are VERY bad. My doctor was telling me there is such a thing as benign cramp/facciulation syndrome. So this might be what we are experiencing.
