Ring Finger Pain Lasting Hours

Daily, my right ring finger starts to feel odd, with a stiffness pain (but without stiffness)/sore type of pain that I would say is a 2 on the 1-10 pain scale for half an hour to a few hours. It is noticeable but doesn't really do anything much. I have normal range of movement when the pain happens and no loss in dexterity. At first I thought it might be a cramp, but when I feel my ring finger, it is not stiff, it is not contracted, and I feel that it is not nearly as painful as a cramp. It also doesn't go away within 10 minutes like a cramp would. Rather it lingers and just sits there. Has anyone else experienced this? Any ideas as to what this might be?Thanks everyone, bigguy

Hey bigguy, I've had/have some similar issues with my fingers on my right hand. It started with my middle finger, it felt very stiff and tender. Now my whole hand feels a bit stiff and painful when I make a fist. It almost feels like what I imagine arthritis would feel like. I really think it's just another bfs symptom. I don't have any weakness or problems using my hand..it just hurts.Jay

Hi, I have that or something very similar... the pain is concentrated around joints in my case. Because within one year I definitely did not developed rheumathoid arthritis, I think it is just a kind of periodic dilute pains which are quite typical to people with hyperexcitated nervous system, no matter if that is inherent or just temorary due to reasons caused BFS (infection, poisoning, stress, whatever).
