Hi All
It has been long time i have not been on this board. But as you know if you go in a panic state there is no other place except this board.

I have some questions for all of you please help me in this.

1 year before-

1. I had high cholesterol level.doctor put me on lipitor 10mg.I started exercising also and i developed some pain in my wrist during this period. This wrist pain comes and goes ,pain is at uupper wrist and i can feel the pain by pressing the affected area.

Question can my twtiches have some realtion to this ,my twitches started before six months

9 moths before

2.Before noticing twitches on my body i had red spots on my body mainly on my arms and neck.Does this signify anything. These Red spost still come and go and are more in numbers now.

Question-Can there be any relation of my twitching with this issue.

6 months before
3.I shifted to a new place because of new job.It was very hectic.Slept for MAX 4-5 hours ,travelled for 4 hours every day.Consumed alcohol almost daily.Started going to gym and then i noticed twitches in my biceps only.Started googling for this and came *** scare .Twitches then spread to all parts of body.

Question-Can this event be the main reason for my twtiching.

Question 4- Can statin cause ***?I took it for less than one month.
Never after that.
I will be 26 on 10th NOV ,alll teh lovely people on the board are invited for the pary.

Thanks

Hey Deepak,
I had neuro exam last monday, the only one after seven moths. I read some statin questions on this board before and I asked Neuro what does she know about statin as prelude, intro, relation to ALS. She gave me only one sentence "statin raises CPK level in the muscles" I asked her what does it mean. CPK level in the blood is higher than usual. Where is the connection with ALS? I didn't get the answer.

Hi

My wrist pain comes and goes .It is there for few days and goes away for one or two months. Then comes back,it is going on for a year.

I also hope that taking statins for less than a month should not cause *** like symptoms. Although i must admit twitching has subsided quite a bit it is still there but not as it was before six months.

Regarding those red spots it is still a mystery ,i once showed it to my physician .he did some blood work and said everything was normal.

I think most probably i became a twitcher because of multiple reasons:
ANxiety + Stress + Less Sleep + Alcohol daily + started doing exercise
daily.

I myself know that most probably i dont have anything sinster but sometimes i go into panic mode for apparently if a new symptom arises.I jsu want your reassurances.I have not yet visited any physician for my twitching.I am going to be soon visiiting one to calm my mind.

Thanks
Deepak

dk,

Stress and lack of sleep always heightens my symptoms. When you start worrying about your health 24/7 it almost becomes a self fulfilling prophecy.

The pain you are describing is not at all uncommon on this board, and is very characteristic of BFS's waxing and waning.

Calm down and get some sleep
