Restless Legs and Twitchers

I'd describe mine as an anxious feeling in my legs.I nearly always have to have a knee bent, I can't hardly lay still with my legs straight.I also, rub the arches of my feet together and move my foot like I'm taping my toe all night long.

HaHa, that is a very close description to what my legs feel like at night and I absolutely hate it. I have to have my legs rubbed every night just so I can go to sleep, because just laying there with legs out to just feel it drives me nuts. Very warm epson salt baths are the only other thing I've found to relieve these feelings. I almost always find my self going to sleep with my knees bent, on my side, with a cool pillow between my knees. Have you found anything that helps yours??

I know exactly what you are describing. I have had this a few times, before my BFS. It only happened it seems when I took a tylenol PM to get to sleep, so probably not at all related to BFS. My neuro in the initial visit tried to put my twitches into RLS, but it is not the case and I haven't had it in a few years it seems.

I see myself in this post.I have to constantly move my feet and sleep with my knees bent with the blanket folded between.I can't even IMAGINE lying with my legs stretched out. :)

RLS is a separate syndrome that may have nothing to do with BFS.Good news is that there are some medications that are very effective.

Most people have to get out of bed and have to walk about, or stop the car every 20 minutes or so get out and move about.Definately no here although my neuro tried to put the words into my mouth coz i had him stumped

I may have had that during my second pregnancy. It was like a weird sensation like my legs were lacking oxygen so they felt ticklish. It wasn't just my legs that felt that sensation though. It was my legs, arms, hands, face and head... it drove me crazy. I didn't know what was going on and scared and it slowly went away after delivery. My theory is that it was some electrolyte imbalance or low iron. I had and sometimes still have mild anemia.
