Relief After Neuro Exam: No MND Found

Hey all,Finally got done at neuro...waited 4 hours past appointment time but it was worth it!Most important: he said there was nothing at all in my exam to even hint at MND of any kind!!!! I told him what had happened from twitch, to google, to panic...and he laughed. Not a insulting laugh, but a laugh that lifted 500 pounds off my shoulders. My reflexes: absolutely normal for a "highly anxious" person. My strength: he said he didn't believe I hadn't exercised in months. LolMy twitching: he said he sees it all the time. And nearly 100% of the time it is in a "highly anxious" patient. Interestingly, he said I have probably twitched more than the average person because of my severe scoliosis. (I have a 50 degree lumbar curve and a matching one in my thoracic spine). He said it would be abnormal for a person with that severe of scoliosis to NOT twitch frequently. He said every personal patient of his who has scoliosis like mine twitches. He said the anxiety probably kicked it into high gear, and that it may or may not subside in time but that it ABSOLUTELY not indicative of MND. He said he would have known MND in clinical exam without me even mentioning twitching. And he also said I needed an EMG like I needed a prostate exam! As for my pain, its a conglomeration of many things. My leg pain is most likely due to the nearly 2 inch discrepancy between my left and right hip. The numbness and tingling in $y groin and some persistent bladder issues are from a large herniation in L5 S1 disc. He will monitor that closely and it may need to be removed. Also, he is referring me for epidural injections to treat the irritated nerves making my leg so painful. Next step is a scoliosis specialist who deals only with my kind of scoliosis to see about some orthotics to help my pelvic problems and to monitor the progression of the curves. To sum it up....I've twitched every place I can think of and then some...and I just got the all clear. If you have any questions, ask. And thank you all for helping keep me sane the last three months!~Frances
