Reassuring Support Reduces Anxiety Twitches

Many people on here have been very reassuring to me and that has helped quite substantially. Once my anxiety about the twitches was reduced, it seemed that the twitches themselves became much less frequent. I still have them but they do not really concern me. I have been to the neuro, had an EMG and an MRI of my head. Everything came back completely normal and that helped to reduce my anxiety. I have been to a follow up appointment with the neuro and still no motor problems so no worries. However, in the past few weeks I have started experiencing new problems. One day I started to get a buzzing in my left foot. It would be off and on all day but was definitely noticeable. The next day I had a buzzing in my left shoulder for most of the day. The buzzing in the left shoulder seems to have gone away but the buzzing in my left foot has not. Since the buzzing in the left foot started, I have started getting tingling or buzzing feelings randomly throughout my body, just like how I was getting twitches before. The tingling/buzzing only lasts for a few seconds and then goes away and happens in lots of different places. I have also started getting some pain in the muscles in my chest and in my back. It is a dull, sore pain and does not present itself every day. I can definitely tell it is in the muscles and not a heart or internal organ issue. I still have a pain sometimes in the left side of my neck and on the back right side of my head. Those pains have been there since the twitches started. I also sometimes get a shooting pain in my right leg and sometimes in my right hip when I am moving. These new symptoms have made me worried that my condition is progressing, like an ALS or MS would. I have another doctor's appointment this Friday but am hoping that someone on here has some experience with similar symptoms. Any help or reassurance that anyone can provide would be great. Thanks to all of those who have already provided reassurance.

The internal buzzing/shaking/vinbrating sensation is my primary symptom. I have had these sensations for 2 years. It is constant and mostly in my legs. Some days are worse then others but it is always there. I also have persistent soreness in the affected areas. I believe this is due to the constant activity of my muscles. I've been told by a couple of neuros that this is nothing. If you reserach the archives on the site you will see hundreds of posts on this very same topic. This seems to be the natural progression of BFS.......twitching and then internal stuff. I woud not worry too much about this. You docs will put your mind at ease.CDC

Like cdc, I have the buzzing and tingling almost constantly internally and externally and all over. This has been the case along with the twitches for well over a year. If your symptoms stop after a few minutes and go away at times, then you really have either (1) nothing but an oversensitivity to normal sensations or (2) a very, very mild version of what others here may have. Again, just my opinion.
