Reasons I Don't Have ALS: EMG Tomorrow

I came up with this list of reasons why I PROBABLY don't have ALS so I can read it over and over before my EMG tomorrow. I know you guys are tired of me, and I plan to move on once this test is behind me, so if you could add anything to this thread before tomorrow afternoon, I would appreciate it. I know you can't tell me 100% I don't have ALS, but if you think this adds up to BFS, please tell me.

1. twitching for 2 months without weakness (good sign)
2. twitching mostly in calves and eyelids (usually benign areas)
3. buzzing in left foot and creepy crawly (sensory)
4. history of tremors and jerking for years (usually stress related)
5. twitching began after stressful period, use of SSRI, Atkin's diet (endless reasons why this started)
6. twitching has good and bad days (ALS is relentless and progressive)
7. klonopin reduces twitching by 80% (anxiety related?)
8. exercise increases twitching (typical BFS)
9. normal neuro exam (good sign)
10. normal strength and reflexes (good sign)

(NOTE: After reading many posts on the Cleveland Clinic site, I have decided that twitching without weakness or reflex changes is NOT ALS and that *beep* Mayo study should be burned because that is the reason most of us can't let go . . .)

Sounds like the rest of us! You're better off than me even -my reflexes were brisk & I don't seem to have good days. Plus you have a trigger for your twitches. You will be fine! You will be fine! You will be fine! Let us know the good news after your test!

what about mayo clinic study should be burned? that study says twitching with normal exam and normal EMG is NOT ALS

No, the 6.7% thing -- I wish I had never read that.
