Ready to Introduce Myself

I've lurked around reading this forum for quite some time, about 6 months, which has been really helpful. Everyone seems so knowledgeable and many of you explain how I feel to a T.

I'm a 40 year old male (being a child of the 80s explains my pen name!). I began twitching Spring of this year. I had flu syptoms that went away after a few days. But I was left with a sense of weakness in the legs. I figured it was just from whatever bug I had. Then I noticed twitches in my pinky. Like many of you I googled and found PD --s and -s and I freaked. Soon the twitches were everywhere and have continued since.

Most disturbing to me is the buzzing in my hamstring that is nearly constant. Seems so weird. Even before this I felt a twitch every now and then, but never buzzing. My web surfing certainly was not reassuring. My PCP thinks it's a combo of anxiety and whatever bug I had. I had gone through a very stressful time prior to getting sick. So he could be right.

But I can't shake the feeling that I have -s or --s due to the buzzing and what feels like weakness.

I'm afraid to go to a neurologist, but don't know whether to believe my PCP.

Does anyone out there get frequent limb buzzing with the twitches? Would appreciate any input to my case. Thanx

I've had the buzzing on and off for many years. I used to just notice that my feet would buzz for hours after I used the treadmill. Now the buzzing comes & goes all over, (stays a lot in my feet). I really don't think much about this symptom anymore. Denise

Thanx guys. I feel tons better knowing there are others experiencing the same thing. There is a lot more buzzing out there than I would have thought!
