Random Twitching/Buzzing Sensations

Still have random twitching/buzzing for 4-5 seconds at a time. Usually not continuous but I have had twitching on the arch of my left foot that went on for a couple of days and then disappeared. Overall, I'd say the frequency of my twitching has reduced...New development noticed in the last month: certain actions trigger twitching. Coughing hard makes my lips and/or left eyebrow twitch for a few seconds. So does washing my face with cold water. Contracting my arm muscles when lifting heavy things and sudden movements sometimes induce twitching in the muscle group being used. Again, twitching is brief. Anyone else noticed this type of triggered twitching?Saw my GP yesterday for a throat infection and she also checked my reflexes to follow up from my last visit. Knee and elbow tendon reflexes normal. Apparently, if you're not relaxed ie you tense your knees/elbows during the examination you will produce a hypo reflex ie no or slow reflex. That happened to me initially as I was nervous but she did it again when I was distracted and the reflexes were normal. No weakness or function loss, thank God.

I can relate with triggering fasciculations by some actions - yawning, sneezing, coughing...sometimes just stretching the muscle is enough to bring them.Regarding the reflexes, with upper motor neuron involvement (which occurs with ALS) they are increased up to the state of hyperreflexia. Reflexes can be increased as a normal finding especially when one is anxious.
