i'm new, so i'll have a lot of questions here for a while... does any one know a lot about myotonia, because some of my muscles twitch after i flex them, sometimes in my left hand down by my pinky finger, and i was also wondering about limbs falling asleep while sleeping.. cause when i sleep my right arm from my shoulder down through my hand falls asleep hard, and when i wake up i can't lift my arm at all?????????

is delayed relaxation of a muscle after exertion. In my case (according to my neuro, anyway), it took the form of twitches that caused my finger to curl a bit towards my palm. It wasn't a cramp, since it wasn't a strong contraction, and the symptom appears (knock on wood ;)) to have resolved itself.

Myotonia can occur in hereditary disorders (typically non-fatal, FWIW) or in acquired disorders. It can be associated with disorders of the ion channels. Since BFS may be associated with ion channel disorders, it wouldn't be surprising to have myotonia as a BFS "benefit."

Limbs falling asleep at night is a common problem for everyone, not just BFS'ers. It can be caused by sleeping on your arm or irritating any of the nerves in your arm. As long as the arm wakes up (and it sounds like it does), you're fine. You might want to look into different sleep positions.
