Questions about Lamotrigine & Gabapentin

Hi all

I just had a few questions for the user stevenpaulo, if you are able to answer. I saw your website on this PNHE/BFS subject, it is very good, thank you for providing that helpful resource. On your website you state that you have had some good benefits with the drugs lamotrigine & gabapentin, but with the vague explanation that it "makes your symptoms more manageable". Could you explain exactly what you mean by this? Does the medication actually reduce the intensity or frequency of the twitches?

I too have been prescribed lamotrigine but unfortunately have not experienced any benefits thus far...(I'm at 75mg/day)

I am curious as to how you arrived at this combination. Specifically, I am guessing that one of the medications worked SOMEWHAT and then you added a second ? That is, you didn't start both meds at the same time, did you ?

I started neurontin 4 days ago at 2x300, and can bump up to 3x300 if I like...I will wait a couple weeks and see what happens before I bump up.

I take pain meds and would LOVE to not have to take them.
