Question:Strange Foot Muscle Pulsation?

First of all let me start this by saying I know I will get a lashing from Basso for this, but this concerned me so I want to see if anyone else has experienced this? In the morning when I blow dry my hair, I hold my head upside down (no funny comments please), well, anyway, when I was looking down I noticed that the muscle on the top of my right foot was pulsating. It freaked me out because I didn't feel it but only saw it and second it reminded me of the look of the pulsating shoulder that man had in the video post of the normal and not normal neuro exams. Well, I then did the old stand on my toes and my heels bit and when I stood on my toes it seems to get worse. It started to really send me freaking, then I breathed a big breath and thought let me try and calm down, get through this morning and get to work, but I wanted to ask if anyone on the board has ever experienced this?

Thanks so much!!

Yes, I have had what you described. Several months ago, I had it quite freqently especially in the area leading to my third and fourth toe plus I had a "spazzy" toe which continued long after the pulsating went away.

I wouldn't fret too much about it, I think it is in the realm of being "normal" if there is such a thing! :)

That is exactly where it is but more up towards where the muscle is just where your foot meets your ankle. I also get the twitchy toe (the one next to my big toe) every once in a while. Thanks for your response. :D)

Dear Sharon:

I am so relieved that you have once again flipped out. Your hysteria at your twitches reminds me of the time that I dropped acid and saw eyeballs in my gin and tonic. I am sure that this "top of foot twitch" is the one that defines you as ill, once and for all. Congratulations, not many people here have as exotic a twitch as a "top of foot twitch," you can search the archives, it isn't there. Not.

By God Sharon,I think you need to stop being such a baby and get on with things. There are people here who are really hurting and need our help; but no, you must have your attention. I hope all the board can see through your feeble attempt to garner, yet more posts of sympathy.

Psssst, did I do okay?

Sharon, I guess that has made you feel much better now!!!

I have had the top of the foot twitch. It lasted a few weeks and the went away.

Basso, I am so relieved, as I did not expect any less from you, whew, I can breathe a bit easier now. I am actually in a good mood today.....must have been all that blood that rushed to my head as I held it upside down while blow drying my hair

While I am not in a state of panic, the pulsating thing was new and just wanted to double check that every so often flutter of "oh my god" now what???? A mere moment of weakness. Perhaps I should start dropping acid and start looking for those eyeballs in my gin and tonic (so now that tells us a story of just how you got to be the way you are today)....hmmmm.

Just to clarify for you sir, it was not the so-called top of the foot twitch, but the pulsating look that caught my eye (no not the eye in your gin and tonic). By the way, you did great!! And let's get it straight, it was not my feeble attempt to get everyone's attention, it was actually a cry for more PM's (oops did I say that out loud?)

Luv Ya,

:D) :D) :D) :D) :D) :D)
