I too am aware of many things going on in my body, particularly my legs, that before BFS, I either didn't notice, dismissed, or put down to some other reason. For instance before the twitching started I often had pains in my hip and knee which I knew was due to a back injury. However, after the onset of BFS , when my feet and hands felt weak, tingly, and I twitched constantly, I lost perspective about other causes. I think that also we are in a depressed state physically and so our "old war wounds" come back to haunt us. My left ankle feels wobbly and the tingling comes and go, I also feel a tightness that was not there before. The tendon in the bottom of the foot seems to draw my toes down at times. This was very alarming symptom at the beginning. I also think that I have aggravated the ankle by continually testing my strength. (NO doubt BFSers have ridiculously strong calves) I think that tightness/pressure is a symptom of BFS, the muscles/nerves are hyper-excited and things just get tired and tight. In other words, when one thing is out of balance then, often, so is another. What a miracle and mystery our bodies are: both in and out of wellness.
Cheers,
Basso
