Question about Goody Headache Powder

Hi Linda,

I'm from the north and we don't have much experience with Goody Powder so please forgive me if I am way off base. Aren't Goody Headache Powder made with a lot of caffeine? I think they are, that is why they work so well on headaches. If I am right about the caffeine, you may want to consider 2 things: 1. from what I understand, caffeine can increase twitches in some people and 2. caffeine withdrawal can cause you to have repeated headaches . . . kind of a catch 22. OK, now if I am totally wrong and they do not contain caffeine, please disregard!!
Either way, let me know.

There is some research that is very interesting that I have read about familial ALS (roughly 7-9% of all cases). This research raises the question on what triggers the motor neuron disease itself. I'm sure most of you have read about the Gulf War cases and an apparent higher incidence in Gulf War Veterans, which would lead one to believe in gene mutations from chemicals or burnt fuel; however, I believe that it is very possible that the immune system plays a crucial role in ALS. In other words, if the immune system 'backfires' then this can cause a possible viral infiltration of the neuromuscular system, or possibly in my opinion, trigger ALS. Yes, I believe the answer is THAT simple; however, not AS simple as it sounds. Yes, if this were in fact the case, it would certainly be easier to treat. But, there exists other problems with this research altogether (a bit like trying to find a needle in an ocean). I am very interested to see where the research takes us in the next few years.
