Pulsing Electrical Symptoms in Calves

I have had twitching-vibrating-electrical current symptoms in my L calf for over four years now. It started with excruciating cramps which lasted 2 weeks and then just stopped. This was in October 2004. This was only in my Left calf . Now just about a month ago these same symptoms have started in my R calf. I did have cramping also in my R calf when all this began but no twitching etc.So does anyone have and imput on why now 4 years later my R calf is having the same thing. My calf muscles are also very sore lately. I just can't believe now I have both of them with these symptoms. I want to add that this also includes my whole foot with the PrickLedPins-twitching etc etc...

First of all, if this has been going on for 4 years, I would not worry about as nothing else has occurred along with it and if it was something worse, you would know by now. As far as your other calf joining the circus, it is very common for calves to twitch. I couldn't tell you why because it could be anything from BFS to exercise-induced to just plain luck. The most common places to find twitches are calves, eyes and thumbs though they can of course, as many of us here know, be just about anywhere. Have you ever been to a neuro or had an EMG or anything?

I saw a neuro 4 years ago when all this started. I had an EMG on my left calf 10 weeks after the twitching started. I am not really worried about it being something else because I have no weakness and I have all those other wierd sensations along with the twitching. I do jog 4 times a week so I am thinking it has something to do with that. It is not as constant as my L calf but just as annoying. Just curious if this has happened to anyone else. I do have the occasional twitching in my R wrist also but it only happens when my calf is really bad. Not sure if I should go back to the neuro again. I don't think there is much he can do since it has been going on for so long.Thanks...
