Preventing Pain After Exercise

My symptoms for the most part have subsided greatly over the last month or two. This morning I walked 2 miles feeling pretty good. I went outside talking to my neighbour and standing for only 10 to 15 mins now my leg is acky and paining. I heard it said after exercise you would feel the consequesnces. Can anyone relate to my situation? Any way i can prevent this in the future like if i walk then rest for a while. Don't stand in the one place for a long time???? Thanks for your help.

For me the key is to never stand too long in the same position. My legs HATE standing still. Try to always keep moving, or learn to kind of shift your weight from left to right if you have to stand in line or something. And don't ever climb up a ladder. Trust me on that one. You will pay for it for weeks.

My legs used to hurt bad, real bad. Right now they hurt less. I had trouble finding out info about leg pain early into this but after a year I have found out it's pretty common. My theory is that we naturally use our legs more, and more intensely than any other part of our body. If you're moving around your using your legs. I had joint pain, muscle pain, all of it.

Same for me. The hardest thing on my legs/knees/feet is standing still. I constantly shift weight from left to right in order to relieve the pain but it gets rough. I can walk all day and have less pain than standing still for 1 hour straight.

Standing still for an hour? Holy cr@p, I wouldn't even try to stand still for 10 minutes. And yeah Emilyomouse you are right. The reason our legs hurt so much is because we are bipeds and we spend so much time on our feet. If we walked on our hands we would all be complaining about why our arms hurt so much.

But mine really never hurt before BFS started. I mean, right before this started I stood still for hours on an AC/DC concert, and now I can hardly do it for 5 minutes..

My legs are the same. I can run for nearly 2 hours with a moderate level of discomfort but if you ask me to stand for 10 minutes (sometimes less). Ugh. all of my leg muscles will get super super tight, a pressure feeling, and ache.

*beep*, where was this thread back in the day when my legs were killing every day....back then, besides Mario..I really felt like I was the only one...My legs still hurt if I sit for too long or as you all stated, stand on one place for more then a few minutes...If I could just keep moving all hours of the day....the pain is *beep* near non existent. :D)

It's so frustrating. Some days i feel ok then other my left leg, left arm and left side of my cheek feels weird. Then other times i feel 100%. Hopefully it will get better in the future. It's roughly a day or two either way a year ago that this all started.

I absolutely understand that. For me all started with my left side, but now it is my right leg that has the permanent feeling of bad blood circulation/numbness/massive tensed pain and I sometimes also have this weird feelings on my cheek. In the beginning I only got this weirdness in the cheeks, some time ago it started to be accombpanied by tongue twitches. Ibuprofene helps a bit with this leg pain.
