Hello all, My muscles are twitching since 3 years , it began just after my first injection of hépatitis B vaccines. I am affraid because I know this vaccine can cause ALS ( very rarely but possible ...) I would like to know if there are other people in this case... If your symptoms started just after a vaccination please post a comment with the type of vaccin you have done... Thanks.

Hi, first of all after does not mean due to, and it was known even in ancient Roma :)I am not sure if hepatitis vaccine could really be 'cause' of ALS because we should look for something with neurotoxicity properties in that case. Of all vaccines most probable neurodamaging one could be rabies shot and I remember that one of the fellows here really got some neurological effects after rabies vaccination, but he appeared not to adhere to the rules in postvaccination period (no hot bath, no alcohol for 6 month after) maybe just because he was not properly warned about that. Vaccines for some children diseases and flu may have adverse effects sometimes because related viruses are known to cause neurological damages too (if live vaccines are used on weakened subjects). But I strongly doubt that virus with specific affinity to liver tissue may cause any damage to your neurons or muscles.anyway twitching for 3 years means anything else but not ALS by most of stats
