Post-Cipro BFS: Reports & Recovery?

I have read many post from people who believe their BFS started because of taking cipro or forms of that type of med. My twitching started after rounds of cipro and other antibiotics. My question is is there any reports or info on people getting better? Can it wear off or get worse? Can you let me know if there are websites on this.
Thank you. DD

My twitches started two weeks after I took cipro for 2 weeks.

First month: Twitching like crazy
Second month: Less twitches but a lot of anxiety. I thought I was doomed.
Third month: Much less twitches but other weird symptoms. Still thought I was a goner.

Five months later, much better. Still twitching but all the anxiety has gone away. It changed my life as I am much more aware of my body now.

Some days it will get worse, or you think it will, then in retrospective you realize that overall it gets better.

One thing I want to add. I have no proof that cipro gave me the twitches.

I have a number of sites that you can go to dealing with cipro. Just send me a pm and i will get you the links.........and yes, people do get better.

Take care,

Cipro sounds like a pretty spooky drug, but there's also a lot of at least anecdotal data to suggest that twitches often follow infections. If that's true, it might be easy to assume in error that it was an antibiotic effect. But again, Cipro does sound uniquely dangerous among antibiotics.

: "These cases suggest a possible association between fluoroquinolone antibiotics and severe, long-term adverse effects involving the PNS [ peripheral nervous system ] as well as other organ systems."
