SDjag, I have consant twitches in my left calf. Never, ever, never go away. I tend no to pay much attention to them anymore. As I know others here will tell you, at your age the chance of als is infintisimal......

I also have hot spots. I have twitching in my thighs that is there each and every day, mostly my left thigh, but my right one seems to be getting more frequent lately. But, there is a certain feeling that happens in my left thigh that worries me alot. It happens when I am driving, or sitting a certain way, maybe when some certain pressure is on the other side of my leg. Anyway, it's like a very deep twitch, more like a twitch combined with a non-painful cramp, it's hard to explain, but it's always in the same place. I have also had random twitches, but I have certain spots, such as my left thigh, that have always been there since the start of this. My fingers will kind of come and go, other places will come and go, but my thigh, and my knee areas will be very consistent. I know what you mean, this worries me also, because I also have heard it's better if the twitching is more random, but this also seems to be a common thing on this board. I also have the twitching each day in my shoulders and upper arms. The facial twitching, such as the eye and lips, happens to me, but more randomly. Good luck, Val

Hey, SDJaq. Any muscle can twitch, I think you've gathered that much by now, right. :p The tongue, the eyes, calves, thighs, lips, noses, necks, prostates (I'm not kidding), etc. Twitching often takes place predominantly in one spot, it is called a hot-spot. The length of time they last can vary, but I have had them for months. No biggie. In fact, before I ever got bfs, or thought that I might have bfs, I got a persistent eye twitch that lasted some 5 or 6 months. I didn't have a computer then, so when it went away, I didn't look for it to return. So, what you are experiencing is common garden variety bfs, not anything so exotic as a sinister disease.

Now that you are well, and have been proclaimed so by me, Basso, I will now tell you the remedy for bfs, or anything for that matter. Boinking. Yes, that is right. At 21 you should be thinking about playing, grabbing the world by it's tail and swinging it, and boinking your brains out. Just remember to use a condom, be romantic (it won't be a good as when you are in your forties, but it will set you on the right path), and laugh. Run through sprinklers, go to movies in the afternoon, and lie on your back staring at clouds.

Your bfs is going to go away completely anyway, because you are so young. That is what happens at your age, the fascics disappear. When that happens though, don't become some uptight di*ckwad, in search of money and possessions. Remember how bfs touched your soul, and let that guide you towards your obviously, very bright future.

You are not having them in just one specific spot, you said you have them all over your body. You are having this one twitch that is constant and staying for awhile, that is called a hot spot. Look up hot spot on the forum and you will see that it is a classic symptom of BFS. It will pass..you are ok. ;) ..Jenn
