Phlegm After Eating: GERD?

Do you get phlegm after you eat as well, or is it just a heartburn type feeling? I bring up food sometimes 15 minutes after eating and have horrible upper stomach and chest discomfort if I lay down, but I also have phlegm every time I eat, unless it is something really small. I tried to look online but am not finding that phlegm is a symptom of GERD. Does anyone else experience this, because I know that it can be a symptom of *LS. It has been going on for a month now.

One more thing...I'm not having any swallowing difficulties except with french fries for some reason. They are the only food that feels stuck when it goes down, but when I cough afterwards, nothing is there and the feeling soon goes away. I hope I get some responses because when I looked online, it was saying that having a wet cough after eating can be an early symptom of swallowing difficulties.

My only comment is to say that what you are describing is something lots of people have and so I would not jump to conclusions. I feel twitching is different since it is unusual as a symptom (well maybe not to some specialized neuros but to most doctors). You will drive yourself crazy if you over focus on things that are common. I think the best thing is to visit a doctor and have him or her look for objective signs. When you are anxious, it is nearly impossible to objective. Seeing a muscle contract in and out is easy to assess. Swallowing and phlegm issues are less so because we all choke on occassion and we all have phlegm.
