Overcoming Long-Term Hoarseness

Were you hoarse for many weeks on and off (daily but not all day)? Did you ever figure out what was causing it? Did you figure out how to get it to go away? How long did it take for the hoarseness to go away (with or without a known cause or cure)? This is really what I am most concerned about. I do have other likely causes...sinus infections, allergies, TMJ, reflux, but of course I am still worried about the scary cause that I can't shake.Thanks...Jess

I hope this gets through because i am not confident I know what I'm doing!I have an intermittent voice problem, no problems with articulation. Initially ENT said it was acid reflux, but now they don't think so, and my vocal chords move OK.I have ben seeing a voice therapist, who feels I do not have anything neurological going on, but my singing voice has gone, and intermittently my voice sounds reedy (if that's a word) and cracks/ is hoarse/ is different. I can't work it out, but am trying to use it normally.Let me know if thuis ios similar to your problem. Apparently I have some sort of motor axonal neuropathy. but not progressive, and not MND.Thanks
